ISLA FOUNDRY

Exceptional goods from the Philippines.

Isla Foundry exists to make remarkable Philippine-made goods easier to discover, understand, and own.

We curate pieces with a genuine connection to the Philippines — through their material, craftsmanship, tradition, maker, or place of origin — and bring them to customers in the United States through a modern, trusted buying experience.

WHY ISLA EXISTS

Some things deserve a wider world.

Across the Philippines, extraordinary products are being woven, shaped, sewn, carved and assembled by people whose work may never naturally reach an international customer.

The problem is rarely that the work lacks value. Often, the market around it is simply small.

Isla Foundry was created to help close that distance. We search for products worth introducing to a larger audience, present them with the care they deserve, and build the commercial bridge between Philippine makers and customers abroad.

OUR POINT OF VIEW

Low local prices do not mean low value.

A product's worth is not determined by the income level of the community where it was made.

A handwoven textile does not become less beautiful because the maker lives somewhere with a lower cost of living. A carefully made bag does not become less valuable because its maker has never sold to an American customer.

At Isla Foundry, we want to build value by creating access, presentation, trust and demand — not by forcing the people who make the products to accept less.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

Made with place, material, and purpose.

We are drawn to products that could not just as easily have come from anywhere.

Abaca

Natural Philippine fiber transformed into bags and everyday objects.

Inabel

Textiles carrying the weaving traditions of northern Luzon.

Banig

Traditional weaving reinterpreted for contemporary use.

Natural materials

Materials such as water hyacinth given another life through thoughtful design.

If it has no meaningful connection to the place it comes from, it probably doesn't belong at Isla Foundry.

CURATED, NOT CROWDED

Small collection, intentionally.

We would rather introduce fifteen pieces we believe in than fill hundreds of pages with products simply because they are available.

As customers tell us what they love, we will go deeper: building stronger relationships with makers, expanding successful collections, discovering new regions and materials, and eventually creating products specifically for the international market.

THE STORY BEHIND ISLA

This company started with a plane ticket, a love story, and a life that changed.

Isla Foundry was not conceived in a boardroom. Its founder came to the Philippines because someone had become more important than business. What happened afterward changed the direction of his life — and eventually became the reason this company exists.
